In the Coupon world your will see alot of abbreviations!! Here is a compiled list of some of the ones that I use the most!   • SS- Smart Source

Other Abbreviations.

  • $$/$$- Money off when you spend ($) amount. Example $4.00/$20.00 ($4.00 off your purchase when you spend $20.00)
  • ALA- As Low As
  • B1G1F- Buy One Get One Free
  • BLINKIE- A coupon that You see at the stores that has a red blinking light. Usually Smartsource puts out Blinkies. These coupons cannot be doubled but are fairly good.
  • IMO: In My Opinion
  • IMHO: In My Honest Opinion
  • CATALINA or CAT:  Catalina coupons that prints from a separate machine when your receipt prints (Albertsons, Kroger,Target most Grocery stores use Catalina machines.
  • CRT:  Cash register tape Coupons that Dont double/triple and Print on reciepts (cvs)
  • DND: Do not double
  • ECB:  Extra Care Bucks
  • ETS: Exlcudes Trial Size
  • EXP or EX: Expired
  • FAR:  Free after rebate
  • GC: Gift Card
  • IP:  Internet Printable coupon
  • IVC: Instant Value Coupon *Walgreen’s coupon booklet coupons*
  • MFR:  Manufacturer
  • MQ:  Manufacturer’s Coupon
  • MIR:  Mail-in rebate
  • NLA- No Longer Available
  • OYNO:  On your next order
  • OOP:  Out of pocket
  • OOS: Out of Stock
  • PEELIE:  Peel-off coupon found on product packaging
  • PSA:  Prices Starting At
  • RAINCHECK: An assurance to a customer that an item on sale that is sold out or out of stock may be purchased later at the sale price. Sometimes it’ll state “No Rain check” on their ads or in stores!
  • RRs:  Register Rewards
  • STACKING:  Using a manufacturer’s coupon in addition to a store coupon
  • TEARPAD: Pad of coupons that manufactures leave for near the products on sale or on display beside them!
  • UPC: Universal Product Code
  • WT:  Wine tag
  • WYB: When you buy

Couple of Other things you need to know

One Coupon Per Purchase: – 1 like coupon per item purchased.. If you have 4 Dial soaps you can use 4 Dial coupons as long as the coupon says one per purchase!

One Coupon Per Customer: Self explanitory

One Coupon Per Visit: Again Self explanitory

One Coupon Per Transaction: You are only allowed to use 1 coupon per like item per transaction. If  you buy 2 Crest Toothpastes and you have a coupon that is $0.50/1 you are only allowed to use 1 not 2. If it say $0.50/2 then you can use 1 for those 2 but can’t use more than 1 per transaction.
